
Angela Hucles Mangano received a B.A. degree in Anthropology from the University of Virginia’s College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences in 2000.
Ms. Hucles Mangano is currently the Vice President of Player Development and Operations of Angel City FC in the women’s professional soccer league, NWSL. She is a former UVA soccer player, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, and two-time World Cup bronze medalist for the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team. Recently, she was a sports analyst for her second FIFA Women’s World Cup with FOX Sports.
In 2015, she was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame and was named the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s Humanitarian of the Year in 2009.
Ms. Hucles Mangano previously served as president of the Women’s Sports Foundation, founded by Billie Jean King, and regional director of Up2Us Sports. She founded Empowerment Through Sport, a sports and leadership organization for collegiate and elite-level female athletes who are maneuvering into the workplace.
Ms. Hucles Mangano was appointed to the Board of Visitors by Governor Northam in 2019.
