The Board of Visitors of the University of Virginia will hold a special meeting from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024. The meeting will be in open and closed sessions and will be all-virtual, held by electronic communication means. The method by which the Board of Visitors chooses to meet shall not be changed unless the Board of Visitors provides a new meeting notice in accordance with the provisions of Va. Code §2.2-3707.

The purpose of this meeting is to brief the Board on safety and security planning and emergency response and recovery related to a demonstration and encampment on Grounds from April 30 through May 4, 2024 and security plans associated with final exercises. The meeting times are approximate; the Board cannot always anticipate changes in the length of its meetings.
There will be no opportunity for unscheduled comments from the public at this meeting.
