David F. Webb received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia in 1982, and his J.D. from University of Richmond School of Law in 1986, where he served as an Editor of the Law Review and on the Moot Court Board.
After a brief career in law in Atlanta, Mr. Webb moved to the Washington, D.C. region where he spent over 35 years in commercial real estate development, investment and finance. For the past 11 years he has been with CBRE, the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment company, as a Vice Chairman with Capital Markets, focusing on finance and investment in the Mid-Atlantic region and throughout the United States. Mr. Webb has closed over $50 Billion of commercial real estate transactions with a variety of capital structures and sources. He has been recognized for most of the last 20 years as the top finance professional in the Virginia and Mid-Atlantic region and among the top such professionals nationally.
In addition to his professional career, Mr. Webb has taken an active finance and leadership role, as a trustee, of many nonprofit organizations in the Washington region, including the Washington National Cathedral, the Bishop John T. Walker School for Boys, a tuition-free Episcopal school, Jubilee Support Alliance, a charity designed to support affordable housing in Washington, DC and the SEED Foundation, establishing the nation’s first network of public, college preparatory boarding schools with the inaugural school launched in Washington, DC as a charter school.
Mr. Webb currently resides in Virginia Beach and Charlottesville with his wife, Martha, and three children, two of whom are currently attending the University of Virginia’s College of Arts & Sciences and one who is attending high school at Mercersburg Academy in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Webb was appointed to the Board of Visitors by Governor Youngkin in 2024.
