Bio

Mr. Douglas D. Wetmore graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Economics in 1988.  He was an Echols scholar and a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  In 1991, he graduated from the University of Virginia Law School.  He attended UVA Law School on a full scholarship as the John M. Olin Scholar of Law & Economics.

Mr. Wetmore is the Senior Vice President for Business Development at Centauri Health Solutions, Inc. in Richmond; a healthcare technology and service company based in Scottsdale, AZ.  Centauri Health Solutions acquired Ivy Ventures LLC in November 2020 which is where Mr. Wetmore worked prior to coming to Centauri.  He was a founding partner from 2003 – 2020.  From 1996 – 2003, he was the Vice President and General Counsel for MMR Holdings, Inc. and from 1991 – 1996, he was an antitrust attorney in the Washington DC offices of Morgan Lewis and Rogers & Wells.

Mr. Wetmore previously served on the Board of Directors of the Greater Richmond YMCA and for more than 30 years on the UVA Alumni Association’s Kelly O’Hara Memorial Scholarship Selection Committee.

Mr. Wetmore is married to Jill Hade and together they have five adult children: Patrick, Adam, Timothy, Charlie, and Bridget.  They reside in Virginia Beach.  Mr. Wetmore’s oldest son, Patrick, is a 2019 UVA graduate with a degree in computer science. 

Mr. Wetmore was appointed to the Board of Visitors by Governor Youngkin in 2022.
